Peeling it after boilng almost an hour
Almost done
Now it will dry for a couple weeks and I can paint
Hi I'm told at almost every show that I need to upate my blog so, here it is. I'll try harder from now on to keep it up to date. I've add a few new Birdhouses, and the newest thing I'm doing is... painting Cypress Knees. They are the neatest creations. Cypress knees grow in swampy areas, so going and cutting them has been an experience. The first batch we were able to get was in a dried out area where thanks to new road builing and a few drilling rigs the swamp water kinda got diverted... I thought. It was not as easy to cut them as I thought it would be. But after a few trips to the hardware store for bigger and better saws, we were finally about to cut some down. The next time we went it had rained and the dried up swamp was no longer dry. My husband and son tromped around in swamp water for me. But they were great, didn't get to mad at me for them getting in the swamp. That is until James, my son fell in a deep hole. Not so happy with me then. But I hope you enjoy my new creations. And like I said I'll try harder at keeping this up to date. Thanks, Marla
